Over Sixty Years of Safaris

Today Ker and Downey is in the vanguard of East Africa’s conservation efforts. We employ a full time conservation and concessions manager. Mike McCartney works with communities and wildlife authorities to help ensure that East Africa remains a haven for wildlife. Appreciating how much local communities do to preserve wildlife, we have built schools and dug boreholes to help them at the same time as funding rangers and protecting habitats.

Many of our guests like to give something back when they see a good project or a desperate need when they are on safari. Over the years they have made a huge difference to the conservation climate in East Africa. You too can make a difference when you’re on a Ker and Downey safari.
